Southern coast

From the island of San Pietro to Villasimius to discover the wonders of southern Sardinia, defined as the heart of the Mediterranean Sea

Southern Coast

It is the area of Sardinia called "the Heart of the Mediterranean": it crosses the Sulcis-Iglesiente region in the southwest and extends to the southeast of the island in the Sarrabus region. The coast is enchanting: long white sandy beaches and a crystalline sea are reminiscent of that of tropical paradises. We will set sail from the splendid Island of San Pietro and land in bays with a tropical soul, scrutinizing natural monuments, favorite stops of international tourism. Carloforte, the most important centre of the island, is known for the "Girotonno", a great event of international cuisine.
We will sail south, stopping at breathtakingly beautiful beaches, blue and turquoise waters, coastal cliffs overlooking the water and coastal archaeological villages. Suggestive landscapes and imposing coastal Saracen towers will guide us to the capital of Sardinia, Cagliari, where you will be welcomed by countless naturalistic, historical and artistic beauties that run through the streets of the city districts. You can go shopping and see popular summer shows. There are several possibilities to visit museums and archaeological villages in the Campidano and Sarrabus regions. You can even enter the paths of the historic salt pans of Cagliari in search of the most famous fauna species, from pink flamingos to egrets, purple herons etc. In the following days we will arrive in what is considered the "pearl of the southeast" of Sardinia: Villasimius. Here you will spend unique moments among the flora and fauna of the marine protected area and you can choose to walk through the picturesque streets of the town or on horseback on scenic trails. You will end your cruise in a postcard setting that will complete your experience and give you wonderful memories.
